I Did Fitness Marshall Workouts for a Week

Since I haven’t been back to the gym since before May, my workouts have been lacking. I haven’t found a whole lot of motivation in quarantine so I wanted to find something fun that would get me moving. I’ve done The Fitness Marshall workouts in the past, but never for a whole week. I wanted to see how they affected my day, how they felt, and how many calories I would burn.

If you don’t know who The Fitness Marshall is, he is a YouTuber who does dance based workout videos. He has an amazing personality that really makes workouts fun. Caleb Marshall is the man behind it all, but he does have two other people that workout with him. You will almost always see Haley Jordan, but it does go between Caleb’s boyfriend Cameron Moody and Allison Florea. I worked out Sunday through Saturday. I worked out at various times and had some longer workouts and some shorter. Here’s what results I got:

  • Sunday: I started this day doing a thirty minute workout. I burned around 273 calories. I definitely sweated a lot. I did a few videos that I had done before, one which was about twenty minutes long. I had a lot of fun.
  • Monday: I worked out for twenty-four minutes this day and burned 229 calories. I was super excited to workout and even though I didn’t go as long, I got a great workout in.
  • Tuesday: I went for thirty-five minutes today and burned 334 calories. I lost track of time and did so many fun videos and tried quite a few new ones.
  • Wednesday: I worked out for twenty-five minutes and burned 217 calories. I did notice a bit of soreness in my thighs and shoulders, which is totally normal, but not enough to keep me from working out.
  • Thursday: I only did twenty minutes and burned 157 calories. I wanted a little lighter workout today since I worked on cleaning up my yard, which added even more exercise.
  • Friday: I did another twenty minute workout but burned 172 calories today. I was still working on my yard, but did still want to do a more fun workout so of course I did this one.
  • Saturday: My final day I did twenty-two minutes and burned 208 calories. Saturdays I’m typically a lot less active and don’t eat the best so I wanted to make sure I got a decent workout in.

My Thoughts: I love doing this workout challenge. This is perfect for anyone, no matter the size or exercise level. The harder you work, the more calories you will burn. Calories aren’t everything though. I felt so much better getting a workout in. I felt more accomplished and even slept better at night. Plus this was the highlight of my day because of how fun the videos are, plus Caleb really hypes you up in the workouts. You leave his videos feeling like a boss and nothing can top that feeling. If you are a newbie to his channel, it can take a bit to learn the dances perfectly. Don’t give up though. It is all worth it.

I had never heard of Fitness Marshall before, but these dance workouts look like a blast! I know I’d have a lot of fun doing them. Thanks for sharing! If you keep it up, let us know how you like it and what your results are!
