Writer’s Block

Hi everyone! I thought I’d cover a topic today that I actually experience a lot. Writer’s block. Every writer faces this at one point or another. As I’m writing this, I’m experiencing this. With both this blog and my current novel. That’s the whole reason for this post. To show that not every post is perfect but that it takes a lot to write one.

As a writer, when I come upon an idea that I love I have to hold onto it. If I feel like writing, I have to write or that feeling may not come back again for a long time. I try to write everyday, but life gets in the way sometimes. Its hard to juggle so many things and that’s what a lot of people don’t understand.

There’s a lot of people I know that thinks writing is easy. Its not. They think that it shouldn’t be considered a job. I spend as much time brainstorming, researching, and writing as someone with a normal job. It takes time like all things worth doing do. If you’re a new writer, don’t give up. Ignore what people say about your dreams. Don’t ignore constructive criticism, someone might know more than you (something I’m still learning to do). Stay yourself and write what you love.

I’ve been writing for the past ten years and although all I have is this blog, I’m proud of myself. I know I’ll get there eventually, I just have to be patient and not give up. Readers like you make this all worth it. Hope you all have a great day. Thank you for reading and help making this girl’s dreams come true. Until next time.
