I’ve been selling books on PangoBooks for over a year now. I love doing it and it almost feels like having my own book store (which I’d love to have). I’ve done a whole review on selling before, but let’s talk sourcing today.

My main place I source books at is my work. I’m lucky enough to be in the estate sale business and books don’t ever completely sell. I will typically take the nice ones at the end of the day to try and sell. The people that do our clean ups don’t like them and I’m scared that they’re going to just get thrown away instead of given a new home like I try to do. Doing it that way, I do get a 100% profit off the book, even though I do still pay for packing, ink, etc. I have also bought books at sales before to resale. If there are certain editions that I know will sale, I buy them and make a bit of profit off of them, depending on how much they are.
I do also shop my own shelves to resale. If I don’t absolutely love a book, chances are you will see it on my account in the future. I read a lot and don’t have room for books that I adore. I have recently gone through them again and listed books that I kept but didn’t love.
I do also buy books at thrift stores to list. If there are popular books that I’m not really interested in for a cheap price, I’ll usually pick them up to try. A lot of times I’ll get ones I’m interested in and if I don’t like them I’ll still sell them.
Those are a few of the places that I source books. I want to try more spots, but haven’t had the funds or the chance to try them yet. I will say, it can take a while to make sales on books. You do have to be patient. I like to advertise in the Facebook group that they have. It’s a great place to get tips too.
Thank you for checking out this post! Hope this helped in some way. Until next time.
