Series Recommendations

For those of you who read my last blog, I gave quite a few book recommendations. Today is all about some of my favorite book series. I know some people tend to love reading books that go on and on. I will say I can be the same way.

  1. Kim Harrison’s The Hollows Series. The main character, Rachel Morgan, is such a bad ass. She’s very relatable at the same time though. She has some great friends and crazy relationships. A great series with lots of adventure, romance, magic, and mystery.
  2. Laurell K. Hamilton’s Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series. Another bad ass female lead. Filled with charming vampires, zombies, and other creapy crawlies, this book would be great for anyone. Every book leaves you wanting more and every book the author brings it.
  3. P.C. and Kristin Cast’s House of Night Series. This is one series I have read several times. I love the characters and the struggles they have to go through. You go through such a range of emotion with this series and I love it. It is geared towards a younger adult audience, but I don’t really care.
  4. Kelley Armstrong’s Darkest Powers Trilogy. I’ve read this trilogy so many times. Its just one of those feel-good action stories. I really enjoy the characters and all their flaws. Also for a young adult audience.
  5. Lisa Mantchev’s Théâtre Illuminata Trilogy. I read this trilogy so long ago but it is still one of my favorites. It is all so whimsical and the author makes it to where you can see exactly what she’s talking about.
  6. Bella Andre’s The Sullivan’s Series. This is probably one of the best romance series I have ever read. I still need more to finish off her series, but all the ones I have read have been amazing.
  7. Marie Hall’s The Kingdom Collection. All these stories are spin-offs of fairytales. Each is unique in its own way and while it does follow some of the points of the old stories, she makes each one so different.
  8. Anything by Cassandra Clare. This woman took the world by storm with her Mortal Instruments series and later followed with The Infernal Devices and The Dark Artifices. She continues to make even more and more books centered around the world of Shadowhunters, and I’m so excited for it. Her books are so well written and paints an entirely different world that makes you want to join.

As someone who is passionate about reading, know that if I really enjoy a book, it is something special. I really hope you try at least one of these book series. Books can open a whole new world if you let them. Thank you all so much for reading! Until next time.
