September was a great reading month, so I have a lot books to share. I got about thirteen read, and almost all of them were amazing. Hope this gives you some reading inspiration!
Romance:
- Meant To Be Yours by Susan Mallery– This is the fourth book in her Happily Inc. series. I love this series and this book was amazing. Such a great read!
- A Very Merry Princess by Susan Mallery– This book was technically included with Meant To Be Yours, but I wanted to review it separately. I had wanted to read this short story for so long and it finally was released in print with her other book. I loved it so much.
- Men In Uniform: Serving Up Trouble by Jill Shalvis– I love Jill Shalvis, and while this is different from her other books I read, it was still so good. It has a bit of action, but a ton of romance in it.
- One Week Girlfriend by Monica Murphy– I loved this book! I want to buy the sequel so bad. The ending didn’t end great (aka a cliffhanger), and I can’t stand not knowing what happened. This book deals with some tough elements and the writer deals with them well in my opinion. I can’t wait to read more of her work.
- The Forest Ranger’s Return by Leigh Bale– This was such a sweet read that also deals with some tough elements. It is a Love Inspired, and the Christian aspect was just right in here. This was another great book by Leigh Bale in here Forest Rangers’ series.
- One Tough Cowboy by Lora Leigh and Veronica Chadwick– This book took me so long to get in to. I honestly wanted to quit reading it about halfway through, but I continued on. Mostly to find out who was killing everyone. Yes, there are a few murders and a whole lot of mystery, but it does mostly center around the romance of the two main characters. If you like clean reads, this definitely isn’t for you.
Manga:
- Dragon Goes House Hunting Vol. 1 Story by Kawo Tanuki and art by Choco Aya- This was the only manga I read this month unfortunately. This was such a cute, funny story. I love dragons and the dragon in here is so pathetic its cute. I definitely plan on reading the rest in the series.
Mystery/Creepy:
- Bookman Dead Style by Paige Shelton– I really enjoyed this mystery. It wasn’t too scary, and the main character is very likable.
- History’s Greatest Mysteries by Future Magazine– This was a very educating magazine. I learned a lot about different people and the mysteries that surround them as well as mysterious places. The print was tiny, but I really enjoyed reading it.
- The World’s Most Mysterious Places by Centennial Spotlight– I’ve read many magazines by this company and I still love reading them. It is full of information and has a ton of creepy and cool facts. They do repeat some of their articles from their other magazines but it doesn’t really bother me.
Fantasy:
- Over Hexed by Vicki Lewis Thompson– This was such a good book. I really enjoyed the story. It had humor, romance, fantasy, and so much more. Loved it.
- The Isle of the Lost by Melissa De La Cruz– While this book is for a younger audience, I really enjoyed reading it. I’ve never seen or read and of the Descendant’s series, I quite liked this book. I love Disney and it was so cool getting to see some of my favorite characters with kids.
- Real Vampires Don’t Wear Size Six by Gerry Bartlett– This is another new writer for me, and I loved her style of writing. She made this book fun to read. While this is later on in the series, you don’t feel like you miss a whole lot when you read it. I really want to read the whole series now.
- The Grimm Legacy by Polly Shulman– This was the book I ended the month with, and I was so happy I did. This book was incredible and one I can see myself reading over and over again. I loved the characters and the fact that they incorporated both magic and the Grimm brothers in it just makes me love it more. It is for a younger audience, but as you can see even older readers can enjoy it too.
Thank you all for reading! Hope you enjoyed all these fun books. I have a bunch of fun Fall content for next month, so make sure you subscribe to stay up to date! Until next time.
