Reviewing Hungry Girl Winter 2020 Magazine

I’ve always loved cooking, but I’ve gotten into it in the more recent years. I love trying new recipes and seeing how they work out. I even improve some of them if they need a little help. I’ve been a fan of the Hungry Girl cookbooks for a while now, so I thought that it would be the perfect cookbook to test the recipes. This is a magazine, but it is full of healthier recipes, snack hacks, and even more. I really enjoyed testing out this magazine and there are a ton of recipes I still want to try and even more I will make again. Here’s all the recipes I tried and my thoughts! I will have a few pictures of some of the recipes on my Instagram @Kris_tyy_

  • Mocha Protein Swappuccino- I love this recipe! This is my go-to when I really want a frappuccino without all the calories. I feel like its even better than one from McDonalds.
  • Mmmm mozzarella sticks- I wanted to like this recipe. Unfortunately, all my cheese oozed out and left just a shell, which did taste good.
  • Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie- I did not like this one. The cottage cheese flavor overpowered everything else in the recipe.
  • Creamy Tomato Chicken- I made this when a friend came over and we both loved the flavor so much. Mine was shredded instead of chunky like it was in her picture, but it was still very good.
  • BBQ Chicken Mini Meatloaves- Oh man, these were so good! I will definitely make these again when I want a different kind of meatloaf.
  • Zucchini Biscuit Muffins- These were very good. They are filling, but the flavor is great.
  • Sweet & Cap’n Crunchy Chicken- This was a very interesting idea, but I wasn’t crazy about it. My chicken wasn’t very crunchy and the sweet flavor of the cap’n crunch was a bit too much.
  • Hasselback Chicken- This chicken looked so nice and was so easy to make. It had a great flavor and would be perfect for a dinner when your want to entertain someone.
  • Chicken Parm Burger Patties- These were very yummy! I did overcook mine just a bit, but it didn’t affect the flavor at all.
  • Very Vanilla Mug Cake- This wasn’t that good to me. I didn’t like the flavor or the texture at all.
  • Mini Yum Yum Brownies- These were great! It made a bunch and they are super low in calories. With two ingredients, they are very cheap and quick to make.

These are all the recipes I tried. You should be able to find the magazine on Amazon or maybe even Ebay. She also has a website which I will link below that should have a lot of these recipes. If you try any, let me know what you thought! https://www.hungry-girl.com/

Thank you all so much for reading. Hope you enjoyed this. I know I certainly enjoyed trying the recipes. I’ll be sure to do more in the future! Until next time.
