October Reads

October is nearly over, which means another reading wrap-up. I didn’t get as many books read as I wanted to, but that’s okay. I really liked all the books I did read this month. I’m planning getting more read in November, so if you like book posts, make sure you subscribe!

Fantasy:

  • Otherworld Chills by Kelley Armstrong- I love anthologies, and I really like Kelley Armstrong’s writing, which was perfect for me. This ties in with several of her other books, but the short stories don’t leave you confused if you haven’t read any others.
  • No Rest for the Witches by Lori Handeland, Cheyenne McCray, Christine Warren, and Maryjanice Davidson- This is another anthology. I loved this book and all the short stories in it. There were a few writers that I had never read, but now really want to.

Mystery:

  • Pumpkin Picking With Murder by Auralee Wallace- This was my first book by this author, and I loved it. She has just the right amount of mystery mixed with humor and some romance. This was a great book!
  • The World’s Most Haunted Places by Jeff Belanger- I borrowed this book from my dad since we both like stories about haunted places and ghosts. This was a great book for both. I really liked the writing style, and it had tons of information.
  • Storm Warning by Linda Hall- This was a Love Inspired book. I really enjoyed the story. It had tense, creepy moments with romance and scripture breaking it up. A great read.

Romance:

  • Under His Spell: Fools Rush In by Vicki Lewis Thompson- This was a pretty good book. It wasn’t one of my favorites by this writer, but I still enjoyed it. It does have some intense moments that turned out good.
  • Second-Chance Cowboy by Carolyne Aarsen- This was such a sweet Love Inspired book. I really enjoyed the story and the characters.
  • Until You Loved Me by Brenda Novak- This book was incredible. I started and finished this book in just a few hours. I could not put it down! Definitely recommend.
  • Autumn Falls by Bella Thorne- I really enjoyed this young adult book. There are more in the series that I really need to get. There are some sad moments in this book, but I really love how everything turns out. The character development in this book was really good too.

That was all my books that I read in October. Hope you all enjoyed! Until next time.
