I didn’t get all that much read in March. I’ve had a lot of things going on and reading was put on the backburner unfortunately. I did really enjoy all the books I read this month though. What did you read in March?
Lord of Misrule by Rachel Caine
In the college town of Morganville, vampires and humans coexist in (relatively) bloodless harmony. Then comes Bishop, the master vampire who threatens to abolish all order, revive the forces of the evil dead, and let chaos rule. But Bishop isn’t the only threat. Violent black cyclone clouds hover, promising a storm of devastating proportions as student Claire Danvers and her friends prepare to defend Morganville against elements both natural and unnatural.
This was very intense but really good! After that ending, I can’t wait for the next book.
Together Like This by Bethany Monaco Smith
This might be a slippery slope. Joel Wilkinson is many things. Funny, charming, charismatic, the best snuggler in the world. The boy who I share a bed with every single night… even though we’re not dating. Did I mention we also kiss sometimes? Yeah, it’s definitely a slippery slope, but it’s one I want to slide down—just slowly. Because here’s the thing, I’m messy at best. And Joel… isn’t.
One more thing about him? He’s the most loving, patient guy in existence. He gives me everything I need, often before I realize I need it. But I know I’m not in a place to give him the same. Joel has been my friend since I was five. He’s been my safe place in hard moments, never giving up on me no matter what I do. I can’t lose that. No matter how strong I seem right now, knowing me, if I rush into this, I will mess it up.
So I’m taking it slow, blurring lines I refuse to cross, and praying that I don’t push him too far and make him walk away before we ever truly get started.
This was so sweet, wholesome, and steamy. I love Joel and Sarah’s relationship so much. Loved being back with these characters and I can’t wait to see how this story unfolds.
Bound to the Fae King by Megan Van Dyke
Wren Dawson spends her days tending to her ailing grandmother and her nights bartending. Orphaned after her parents tragic death years ago, she’s taken on the mantle of the responsible one, trying to keep her splintering family together. Her dreams of travelling the world aren’t going anywhere, and life is great. Mostly. When thieves rob her bar at closing time, Wren flees into the nearby forest to avoid becoming a grim headline. But her aimless sprint lands her in a whole different world and in the arms of a stranger—Sigurd, Fae King of Air. She’s the spitting image of his long-lost love, and he’s not about to lose her again. Bound to Sigurd by his magical spell, Wren pursues the one opportunity she has to return home: enter and win a Faery competition where the winner receives a wish granted by the powerful fae cauldron. But Sigurd challenges her in a way no one ever has and sparks a desire she never saw coming. As enemies close in on the Court of Air from all sides, Wren is torn between two impossible choices: seizing victory and returning home, or standing by the side of the fae king who sets her heart on fire.
I really liked this! It was so good and hard to put down. I loved the characters and enjoyed seeing some of the ones from the first book.

Smoke by Sarah Jaeger
Thalia: Apparently ignoring my parents’ politics wasn’t the right move. Shifters were outed to the public, and months later, I’m still unsure what the big deal is about. Now my life is in danger and the only one who can protect me is the true king of the wolves. Cade is nothing like what my mom and the press show shifters to be. He’s thoughtful, reserved… and have you seen his butt in those jeans? Cade: Having abdicated the throne, I’ve vowed to stay out of shifter politics. Now, my sole responsibility, for the next nine weeks, is to make sure no idiots can completely derail the deal I’ve cut with the one woman holding all the cards. The problem is… the threats against Thalia Clark are nothing compared to the danger of my wolf, now that he’s claimed this human as his. I’ll kill to protect my mate, but is keeping up my end of the deal enough to save her?
I loved this so much! This was the author’s debut novel and I can’t wait to read more from her! This was a great start of a series and I’m so excited for the next book. The characters were incredible and this had the perfect amount of action, romance, shifters, humor, and steam.
In The Groove by Pamela Britton
She wouldn’t know a NASCAR star if he hit her with his car-and he just did. Sarah was a kindergarten teacher until a sleazy ex-boyfriend got her fired. Now the only job she can find is driving the motor coach for racing star Lance Cooper…whoever that is. Sarah doesn’t know a thing about NASCAR—she just needs a job, and she’s off to a rocky start when she doesn’t even recognize her ultra-famous boss. Lance can’t help but notice Sarah’s sweet smile—and how seriously unimpressed she is with his fame. It’s a reaction that piques his interest–that is, until things get a little too friendly on the bus. But Sarah has no interest in Lance’s jet-setting life; she’d rather deal with spit balls than one super sexy race car driver. But when things begin to heat up on the track, Sarah begins to wonder if life in the fast lane might be a detour worth taking—and if maybe, just maybe, she might be able to take a famous race car driver down a rocky road to find love.
I really enjoyed this. I loved Lance and the ending was so cute!
Love On The Brain by Ali Hazelwood
Bee Königswasser lives by a simple code: What would Marie Curie do? If NASA offered her the lead on a neuroengineering project – a literal dream come true – Marie would accept without hesitation. Duh. But the mother of modern physics never had to co-lead with Levi Ward. Sure, Levi is attractive in a tall, dark, and piercing-eyes kind of way. But Levi made his feelings toward Bee very clear in grad school – archenemies work best employed in their own galaxies far, far away. But when her equipment starts to go missing and the staff ignore her, Bee could swear she sees Levi softening into an ally, backing her plays, seconding her ideas… devouring her with those eyes. The possibilities have all her neurons firing. But when it comes time to actually make a move and put her heart on the line, there’s only one question that matters: What will Bee Königswasser do?
I loved this! I really enjoyed the NASA element and the characters were amazing.
Her Secret Alaskan Family by Belle Calhoune
Sage Duncan is the only person in Owl Creek who knows her true identity: the missing Alaskan chocolate heiress. Now she’s returned to Alaska to learn about the family she was stolen from—without disclosing her identity. But keeping her deep secret from gorgeous town sheriff Hank Crawford is much harder than Sage thought…especially when she finds herself falling for him.
I really enjoyed this. It was such a sweet, wholesome book and just what I needed right now. I really want to read the rest of the series now.
Those were all the books I read this month. Hope you enjoyed. Until next time.
