Low Budget Home Makeovers

Being at home all the time, a lot of us has extra time to use. What better than to do a home makeover? Money might be tight but you don’t have to spend a lot to create something different.

Here’s some ideas on what you can do:

  • Clean up your yard. Rake your leaves, mow your grass, or even just pull some weeds. Not only do these not cost anything basically, but it makes your yard look great.
  • Change a room up. Move the furniture around in the room. Make it look different. You’ll get a new room for no cost to you.
  • Deep clean. Most of us don’t clean thoroughly every time we sweep or mop. Now’s the time. Clean those fans till the shine!
  • Create and accent wall. This only has you paint one wall, saving you money. Pick a shade that looks great with the previous color. You can paint the whole single wall, or create a design using painters tape.
  • Hang up those pictures. Most of us take tons of pictures all the time, whether of our dogs or of our kids. Hang those up! You can even make a collage using the filled frames. Even a collage frame would work.
  • Do some crafts. Pinterest is filled with home craft ideas from mason jar candle holders to wall hangings. (Mine is https://www.pinterest.com/kafinto/ ) Even just doing something simple can really help transform a room.
  • Slipcovers. Using a slipcover is a great way to get new furniture, without paying a high price.
  • Curtains. Changing out curtains is something simple you can do, but it really does change up a space.
  • Get (or make) pillows. Pillows can really help make furniture look nice and will help tie your room together.
  • Flowers. Getting fresh flowers and setting them on the counter makes a room look brighter in my opinion. You get a lovely fragrance and pretty flowers too. If you don’t want fresh, artificial will work too.

Hope this gives you all some ideas! Have fun and be creative. Until next time.
