Here’s another monthly reading wrap-up. These are all the books I read during the month of June. I’m trying something a little different than I usually do for this post. If you’ve read any of my other monthly reading wrap-ups, let me know which you like better. Let’s get into the books!
Series:
The Kiss of Deception, The Heart of Betrayal, and The Beauty of Darkness by Mary E. Pearson. This was an amazing series! The writer did an amazing job with this whole series. I never could guess what was going to happen, which was great. I would definitely recommend this series if you like young adult fantasy.
Fantasy:
Nightseer by Laurell K. Hamilton. Although it took me a bit to get into it, Laurell K. Hamilton’s writing won me over as usual. I loved the main character and felt like I was in the adventure with her. It had humor, great fantasy elements, and romance. A great read!
Love Inspired:
Falling For The Hometown Hero by Mindy Obenhaus. This was a cute read and was very emotional. I finished this book pretty quick and was left feeling happy.
The Trouble With Lacey Brown by Debra Clopton. I loved this book! It was funny, romantic, and was filled with great quotes from the bible.
Mystery/Horror:
America’s Scariest Places by Centinnial Entertainment. I love magazines like this so much. To me, creepy places and mysterious happenings are so interesting to read about. My dad and I have loved reading these magazines for so long and we buy them whenever we see them.
Ebooks:
Dark Bliss by Shay Mills. I was sent this book for free to review on Amazon and Goodreads. I was quite impressed. I love books with vampires in them, and this was a great twist on vampire lore. There were many twists and turns in this book that kept me guessing until the end. A great read.
The Havoc Tree by Layden Robinson. This was another free book that I was sent. This book was pretty dark and creepy. It was pretty weird but it does make you want to keep reading. A good read.
