Happily Ever After Cookbook Review

I got this cookbook for Christmas a few years ago. Last year and part of this year I’ve been making recipes out of it. Some were wins, and some weren’t the best but that’s to be expected. I love the concept of this cookbook: romance authors coming together and writing recipes based off food they have in their book. Inside the book, there is either an exert from the book they pulled the recipe from or there is a synopsis about the book and a bit about the author. I only own one of the books mentioned in here but so many are on my list to get one day. Now, I only ended up trying about fifteen recipes out of here unfortunately. These are going to be my opinions on what I fixed, you may like the recipe, I just wanted to share my thoughts. I hope you enjoy!

***I will be listing the recipe name and the author that put it in there plus what I thought of the recipes I tried. You can get a copy of this book here: https://www.amazon.com/Happily-Ever-After-Cookbook-Reilly/dp/B09RFXDGHF/ref=sr_1_1?crid=70KBMRDEU899&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.jZjwcN_YyRrmeHxfDF4I0kxie26QJm2bSrrjIQFQdCvE5mEBe6NJLfbZJYqXiG4yZ6Pr1t_pAVDCp_96h0KypHSoDlALTL7ZRFL3afyw11QKG0AB_BpWjUtnvrgBvOMwxI9EIyZhCbU_Gwl8FtbZf0Z1Ag2te507iPEM_ZQVOlTBW5BYvhmxvjOsZ94M-U9OyG0h-Ahj6Elzs4srqwRPlN9eUKqr2aREWMzrW_ohiBY.1OhvHPlM0maJy-MMY5twwGaWC_LHL0vR7Hbequ3s_Wg&dib_tag=se&keywords=happily+ever+after+cookbook&qid=1711056258&sprefix=happily+ever+after+cookbook%2Caps%2C258&sr=8-1

  • Winston Constantine’s Breadsticks (K. Webster): These were really good and super easy to do!
  • Twice-Baked Potatoes With A Twist (Corinne Michaels): These were so good! I did use different cheese and they came out just right.
  • Apple Coleslaw (Kelly Elliott): This was pretty good. Other people liked it more than me, but I don’t usually like food like this.
  • Andie’s Cheese Grits (Susannah Nix): I made these for my dad and I and they were okay. Probably won’t make them again.
  • Parmesan Brussels Sprouts (Amelia Wilde): These were pretty meh. Won’t be making these again.
  • Albondigas (Daniela Romero): This was pretty good. It was fairly easy to make and made a lot.
  • Wedding Soup (Alta Hensley): This was very good! Such great flavors and it made a good amount too.
  • Texas BBQ Tacos (K.A. Linde): This was so good! One of my favorite recipes out of this book. This bbq sauce was so good and the chicken super tender and flavorful.
  • Spicy Boneless Wings (Teagan Hunter): These were good! I’ve made this recipe a few times now. It does say to put it in the air fryer and it made a huge mess so I started just frying them instead. The sauce is very good even though I did cut back on the hot sauce some.
  • Scarlett’s Moist Brownies (Sara Ney): These were really good. I unfortunately cooked mine a bit too long but they did have a great flavor.
  • Diablo Cookies (Giana Darling): These were pretty good. Definitely a different recipe that I was glad to have tried.
  • Prosecco Grapes (Adriana Locke): These weren’t bad. I was more interested in grapes rolled in sugar than the prosecco flavor though..
  • Chocolate Chip Cookies (A.M. Hargrove): These were good. It bit of a pain to make but very tasty.
  • Irish Soda Bread (M. O’Keefe): This was delicious. Another of my favorites from this book. We ate this whole loaf of bread in like two days just because it was that good.
  • Waffles (Fiona Cole): These were very good and easy to make.
  • Hill Family Pancakes (Amelia Wilde): These had a great flavor but were super thin and I’m not sure why. I may have to try again with these.

Those are all the recipes I tried from this book! I’ll keep trying more, but I wanted a good amount to post about first. Hope you enjoyed. Until next time.
