I love playing games, and play them quite frequently. However, I mostly just play on my Xbox. Every month, they release three to four games on Xbox Live Gold for free. Coffee Talk was one of those games. I love fantasy worlds and cool concepts and this game sounded perfect. I’m not a pro at gaming, so this is just an amateur’s take on this game.
The Story:
“Coffee Talk is a game about listening to people’s problems and helping them by serving up a warm drink out of the ingredients you have in stock. It is a game that depicts lives as humanly as possible, while having a cast that is more than just humans.
Immerse yourself in the stories of alternative-Seattle inhabitants, ranging from a dramatic love story between an elf and a succubus, an alien trying to understand humans’ lives, and many others modern readers will find strongly echo the world around them.” (Source: nintendo.com)
My thoughts: I loved this so much. I like slower games sometimes, and this was a very chill game. You spend a lot of the time reading conversations, which leads to stories about each character. Plus the main character (you), is pretty interesting. You really don’t know anything about the character you play throughout the whole game. You do get to make the drinks yourself, since you are a barista. This game is just very calming, and would be perfect if you want something that you won’t get worked up. The graphics are great, and you see many different characters, with totally different stories. I was kinda bad at making the drinks, so I did do some online research to help myself out. I’ll link it down below, just in case you need it too. The ending was unexpected, I’ve got to say, but really good. This was an amazing game and something I can see myself playing over again and again.
