I wanted to get a lot more books read in December, but unfortunately I just didn’t have as much time to read. I did still get nine books read, but I own a ton of Christmas books I wanted to get to that I didn’t get a chance to. How was your reading month?
Kissing Under The Mistletoe by Suzanne Enoch, Amelia Grey, and Anna Bennett
In GREAT SCOT by Suzanne Enoch, Jane Bansil knows she will never have a fairy-tale life. But even at three-and-thirty and well past marriageable age, though, she has to admit that the architect the MacTaggerts have hired could turn even a confirmed spinster’s head. In CHRISTMAS AT DEWBERRY HOLLOW by Amelia Grey, Isabelle Reed has no plans to ever fall in love. Certainly not with Gate, a man who doesn’t live in Dewberry Hollow. She will fulfill her duty and help him keep his promise to have his ill grandfather back in London in time for Christmas dinner. The last thing Isabelle wants is for Gate to take her heart with him when he goes. In MY MISTLETOE BEAU by Anna Bennett, Miss Eva Tiding is determined to cheer her widowed father with the perfect Christmas gift. Even if it means breaking into the home of the rakish earl who swindled Papa out of his pocket watch and pretending to date the earl for the Christmas season.
I’m not usually one for historical romance, but these short stories were so cute! I really liked this book and might try some other books by these authors.
The Magical Christmas Cat by Lora Leigh, Erin McCarthy, Nalini Singh, and Linda Winstead Jones
Heartwarming holiday stories featuring passionate romance, paranormal adventure, and a distinctly alluring feline touch. With four new stories, this is a collection packed with more surprises than Christmas morning, and more chills than the snowiest winter night . . .
I really enjoyed all four of these short stories. I love fantasy Christmas books and this one did not disappoint.
Wrapped Up In You by Jill Shalvis
After a lifetime on the move, Ivy Snow is an expert in all things temporary—schools, friends, and way too many Mr. Wrongs. Now that she owns a successful taco truck in San Francisco and an apartment to call home, Ivy’s reinvented life is on solid ground. And she’s guarded against anything that can rock it. Like the realities of a past she’s worked hard to cover up. And especially Kel O’Donnell. Too hot not to set off alarms, he screams temporary. If only his whispers weren’t so delightfully naughty and irresistible. Kel, an Idaho sheriff and ranch owner, is on vacay, but Ivy’s a spicy reason to give his short-terms plans a second thought. Best of all, she’s a tonic for his untrusting heart, burned once and still in repair. But when Ivy’s past intrudes on a perfect romance, Kel fears that everything she’s told him has been a perfect lie. Now, if only Ivy’s willing to share, Kel will fight for a true love story.
This was such a sweet story. A lot happened that I didn’t see coming and I loved the ending.
Christmas From The Heart by Sheila Roberts
Olivia Berg’s charity, Christmas from the Heart, has helped generations of families in need in Pine River, Washington, but this year might be the end of the road. Hightower Enterprises, one of their biggest donors since way back when Olivia’s grandmother ran the charity, has been taken over by Ebenezer Scrooge the Second, aka CFO Guy Hightower, and he’s declared there will be no more money coming to Christmas from the Heart. Guy is simply being practical. Hightower Enterprises needs to tighten its belt, and when you don’t have money to spare, you don’t have money to share. You’d think even the pushy Olivia Berg could understand that. With charitable donations dwindling, Olivia’s Christmas budget depends on Hightower’s contribution. She’s focused her whole life on helping this small town, even putting her love life on hold to support her mission. When Guy’s Maserati breaks down at the edge of the Cascade foothills, he’s relieved to be rescued by a pretty young woman who drives him to the nearby town of Pine River. Until he realizes his rescuer is none other than Olivia Berg. What’s a Scrooge to do? Plug his nose and eat fruitcake and hope she doesn’t learn his true identity before he can get out of town. What could go wrong?
This book had a great enemies to lovers vibe that I really liked. It wasn’t my favorite, but I still really liked it.
Midwinter Tales of the Gemstone Courts- anthology
The bitter chill of winter has visited the Gemstone Courts, but romance will heat up more than one cold fae heart. Experience the wild ride that is the fae Winter Solstice through stories of love, loss, betrayal, and heartbreak. Nine authors with unforgettable characters and one exotic, wild fantasy world come together in this wintery fae anthology. Just remember it doesn’t have to be cold for the fae to be icy… until love hits. Featuring short stories from: Award Winning Author Lisa Kumar, Tina Marte, B.K. Rae, Heather Carter, Award Winning Author Jaycee Jarvis, M.K. Lorber, E.M. Howell, Mandi Richards and Wren Murphy
I feel like it took me forever to finish this book. I had started it at the beginning of November, I believe, and it took me forever to finish it because it was so long. I loved a lot of the stories in this anthology, plus it had fae 🙂 I had never read from any of these authors and want to check out more of their work!
An Enchanted Season by Maggie Shayne, Erin McCarthy, Nalini Singh, and Jean Johnson
Here, for the first time, is a collection of paranormal romances celebrating the holidays as never before. From a shape-shifting leopardess who wants a pack-mate to be her soulmate to a surprise snowstorm that brings a surprise gift.
These short stories were so sweet and I loved the fantasy elements!
That Christmas Feeling by Brenda Novak, Kathleen O’ Brien, and Karina Bliss
“A Dundee Christmas” A woman seeking refuge in a strange town during a snowstorm is taken in by a man who helps her discover that home is where the love is. “We Need a Little Christmas” A prodigal son returning to his family ranch meets a woman with an unconventional way of bringing the holiday spirit into their town and hearts. “Kiss Me, Santa” The battle’s on between a reclusive widower and the single mom determined to open his heart and banish his Grinch-like behavior.
I want to say I’ve read these stories before somewhere, I just can’t remember where. I liked all three but Kiss Me, Santa was my favorite of the three.
Yule Be Mine by Lori Foster
He Sees You When You’re Sleeping Booker Dean knows exactly what he wants for Christmas: his next-door neighbor, Frances Kennedy. And he’s got a gift planned for her that involves lots of delicious unwrapping. White Knight Christmas Officer Parker Ross hates Christmas, while Lily Donaldson lives for it. But he’s willing to be converted, especially when Lily is the one doing the persuading. Do You Hear What I Hear Sergeant Osbourne Decker suspects pet psychic Marci Churchill is barking mad, but she’s also a knockout. And when she’s accused of stealing a donkey from the local nativity scene, he can’t stop thinking about frisking her. The Christmas Present Furious at her cheating fiance, Beth Monroe decides to enjoy a payback tryst with his gorgeous best friend, and finds that revenge is best served hot and sweet. . .
I’ve read all four of these stories before and still really enjoyed reading them again.

I got an ARC of this book and was so happy! I’ve been loving this series and couldn’t wait to find out what happened next! I can’t wait for the next one to come out.
Those are all the books I read in December! Thank you so much for reading! Until next time.
