First Girl’s Day Of The Year

My cousin and I have been wanting to have a girl’s day for a while and we finally got to do it last week. I had so much fun and it was great to get out, even though I did spend a bit more than I wanted to.

First we went to Barnes and Noble. I had never been there in person and wow was I amazed. The prices were a bit steep in my opinion, but I luckily had a gift card so I didn’t spend much of my own money.

We then went to Half Priced Books and I found a few things there as well. I had gone to look for two books and unfortunately did not find either of them. I lucked into a few that were clearing and some I’ve had on my list for a while that are hard to find.

We went to eat after that. We went to Chuy’s which is a tex-mex place and one of our favorites. We stuffed ourselves on chips and the creamy jalapeno dip before we got out meals. I tried something new and got the Elvis Green Chile Fried Chicken which is a chicken breast breaded with Lays potato chips & fried, served over Green Chile Sauce & topped with cheese. I did get the green chile sauce on the side which I was happy about. The chicken was so good though and I would definitely get it again.

We then stopped at Ollie’s for a bit and got a few more things. I did decide not to get some drinks from there and I kind of regret it now. Oh well.

We finished our day at the Texas Thrift Store. I didn’t find much, but that was okay. I was hoping for some western jeans but didn’t luck out that day.

We had a great time and I can’t wait to do it again in the future. I am so lucky to have family that loves me and I can’t wait to see what adventures the rest of the year holds for us. Thank you for reading! All the books that were hauled in this trip will be in my February books hauled post later this month. Until next time.
