A New Life Update

I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve really talked to you all about everything that’s been going on. Besides reading anyways. I thought I’d do that today.

I honestly don’t even know where to begin… I’ve been spending a lot of time at home this year. Work has been very slow and I’ve been trying to cut back on my spending but it’s not always easy. I have bought a less books than I have last year but I’m still buying some. It makes me happy and sometimes that’s just what I need. My mental health hasn’t been the greatest lately, which is why I have been getting through a lot of books. Well that, and I’m a competitive person (I had a team based readathon last month…we lost. ) I have been reading a lot of mediocre things and while I’m primarily a romance reader, I haven’t been wanting to pick them up for some reason. Hopefully things will change soon because I miss my contemporary romances.

I’m still taking my mom for her treatments and blood work plus wherever else she needs to go. Some of the symptoms of her chemo can be quite bad at times so I’ve been helping around their house quite a bit. Cooking meals, cleaning, doing yard stuff, whatever they need. I’ve been trying some new recipes and learning to make things my mom makes all the time that I never have done. It’s certainly interesting. We’re planning on going on a trip soon if all things go well, so hopefully we get to have a bit of family time elsewhere.

I’ve actually been selling a few things on PangoBooks (https://pangobooks.com/bookstore/kris_tyy_). I have more I need to list but I want to wait until I will be home for a while before I do. I hope to sell a lot more, but I’m happy with what I have sold so far. I do also want to list a lot of clothes on Mercari but again, waiting until I’m home. We had a yard sale last weekend and we did pretty well. I made enough for some groceries and a book basically, which I’m very happy about.

I think that’s all I have for you today. I know this is quite a bit different from my usual stuff, but hope you enjoyed. Until next time.
