Valentine’s Day is usually a day of self care for me. I typically don’t spend it with anyone other than my parents so I like to have something that I can do just for me. These are some of my favorites to have but if you do this for yourself, just add what self care is to you.
First off books are a huge part of self care for me. I love to read so I picked out two romances for me to read: Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan and The Brightest Light of Sunshine by Lisina Coney. I may have Archer’s Voice read by then so I wanted to have a back up book. Something not pictured that I might also do is watch a Hallmark movie. They are such feel-good movies and my parents and I are currently making our way through the Signed, Sealed, Delivered series. We’re obsessed so we’ll probably have them all watched by Valentine’s Day but we could always rewatch some 🙂
Next are the actual self care items: I love to be comfy so I have some cozy pajama pants and fuzzy socks. I picked out a few face masks that I could possibly use. One is a Freeman clay mask and the other is a sheet mask by mybeautyspot. I did also get repairing hand masks by Aquaphor and Biore pore strips. I do also have a Laneige lip sleep mask. I’ll probably use that at the end of the night before bed.
Snacks are the last thing on my list. I have popcorn, cookies, chocolates, and a strawberries and cream Dr. Pepper. I have other snacks from my Valentine’s Day gift idea post from Friday (be sure to check it out if you missed it!) that I can munch on. I promise I will eat some “real” food too. 🙂
That’s all I have for you today! I’m used to spending Valentine’s Day by myself so I treat it just as a special day for me. Sure, I’d love to have someone special in my life to take me out and have this day be something totally different, but I’m okay with how it is. If you are doing something, what are your plans? If you are staying in and just watching a movie, what are you watching? Let me know whatever you have planned. Until next time.
