Trying The Jay Cafe in Needville Texas

Earlier this week we went to Brazos Bend for a couple days. This was a shorter trip unfortunately, but we had a good time. It was rainy so we weren’t able to do a whole lot, but we did hike a little bit and went out to eat. We tried a lot at The Jay Cafe so I wanted to share my thoughts!

Our Hike: The only hike we really went on was cut short by this gator. It seemed to be conspiring with the buzzards so we figured we should turn back :p

The Jay Cafe: We ended up going out to eat here for my mom and dad’s Anniversary. All the food was amazing and the customer service was some of the best I’ve ever seen. Our drinks were kept full and the waitress was very friendly and kept us happy. I’ll post pictures of all our food and the slices of pie we got too!

Our Food (L-R) I got the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and fried okra. My mom got the Lil Tex Chicken Fried steak with fried okra and a side salad (not pictured). My dad got the Big Tex Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and onion strings.
We also got a basket of rolls with our meal.

Everything at this place was so good! We ended up with leftovers and I even had about half a slice of pie left. The onion strings weren’t my favorite, but not terrible. I would definitely recommend trying out The Jay Cafe.
