I see a lot of people doing beauty empties videos, but most of the time all the products they use up are so expensive to me. I wanted to start doing my own with lower cost products as well my thoughts on sample and free products that I have received over time. I get a lot of free skincare products and I love getting to try them out. I have about fourteen products that I’ve used up and am going to review. Hope you enjoy!
Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Exfoliating Body Treatment- There’s only one towel in here so I wasn’t able to really see any difference in my skin. It has a bit of a stronger scent that I didn’t really like. The towel was very strong but I didn’t really notice any exfoliating properties. *free sample*
Rituals The Ritual of Karma shower foam- I really liked this. It smelled really good and was so gentle on my skin. It did come out a bit fast, but that was the only thing I had a problem with. There is a good amount of product as well. *Free Product*
Herbal Essences Bio:renew Coconut Milk Hydrate shampoo and conditioner- I love this shampoo and conditioner. It makes my hair feel so silky and smooth and does an amazing job at keeping it hydrated. I’ll definitely be buying this again. *bought with my own money*
Olay Rinse-Off Body Conditioner- I hated this product the first few times I used it. I used it all over my body and it made my arms feel so greasy for some reason. I started just using it on my feet and legs and liked it so much better. I would suggest being very careful if you use this on your feet. Definitely a slip hazard. Overall I liked this, but I’m not sure if I’ll buy it again. *Bought with my own money*
St. Ives Softening Coconut & Orchid Body Wash- I love St. Ives products and this one wasn’t any different. It was very hydrating and did make my skin soft. It smelled amazing too. I’d buy it again. *Bought with my own money*
Pacifica Eye Bright Undereye Vitamin C Spot Serum Mask- This eye patch was a lot different than others that I’ve used. That being said, I did like them. They felt nice and cool under my eyes plus they were very gentle. They were a bit messy getting out of the package, but nothing too terrible. I’d try these again. *Free product*
Better & Better Fully Charged Organic Toothpaste in Bettermint- This was disgusting to me. I tried using it on its own and couldn’t do it. I ended up mixing it with another toothpaste. I like that it is a better for you toothpaste, but I will never buy this. *free sample*
Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum- This was a nice serum but I didn’t really notice it doing anything for my skin. It was a little too runny for me, but that was my only problem. I don’t think I’d ever buy it though. *Free sample*
Biore Baking Soda Pore Cleanser- I liked this cleanser. It lathered up very nicely and cleansed the skin great. I really like Biore products and will continue to use them. *Free sample*
Clean & Clear Essentials Deep Cleaning Toner- I did not like this toner. It is supposed to be for sensitive skin, and while I don’t have sensitive skin, this was not gentle to me at all. It did clean my skin very good, but between the scent and the slight burn I would not buy again. *Bought with my own money*
Dr. Zenovia Clear Complexion Advanced Retinol Night Repair Treatment- This was such a thick product. You put this on in the evening almost like a serum. I did not like how thick it was at all. It made me feel like I had a ton of product on my face and even made me break out some. It did leave my face softer, but not a favorite of mine at all. *Free sample*
Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb Sheet Mask- I don’t normally like sheet masks, but this one was really nice. It was very hydrating and made my skin feel great. It does leave behind a bit of stickiness, but it didn’t really bother me. I’d buy this again. *Got for free when I bought another product*
C’est Moi Soothing Cucumber & Aloe Gel Facial Mask- I liked this face mask. I ended up with two uses out of this smaller packet. It was very soothing and easy to apply and take off. Definitely had a cucumber smell. I’d use this again. *Got in a group of free products but paid shipping*
It Cosmetics Confidence In A Cleanser- This was a pretty good cleanser. It lathered up pretty good but not the best. It was a little thicker than a normal cleanser for me. I’d probably try this again. *Free Sample*
