20 Books To Read For St. Patrick’s Day

While I don’t celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, I know many people do. I’ve always wanted to visit Ireland, so I love reading about the country even if it is fictional. Here’s 20 books (some are series) that I felt could relate in some way to St. Patrick’s Day.

  1. Irish Hearts Series by Nora Roberts- I haven’t read this series, but my mom has and recommended it for this list.
  2. The Cousins O’Dwyer trilogy by Nora Roberts- This is another I haven’t read, but I know it is set in Ireland.
  3. Circle Trilogy by Nora Roberts- I started the first book in this series in High School, but I never got a chance to finish it. What I remember, I did really enjoy. This is also set in Ireland.
  4. Eve Dallas series by J.D. Robb- While this series isn’t set in Ireland, the main character’s *spoiler* future husband * Roarke is Irish.
  5. Wild Irish Rose by Ava Miles- This is a book I have to read on my Kindle, that I haven’t got to yet. It seems to have something to do with Ireland though.
  6. Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen- While this has nothing to do with Ireland, something about it just makes me think of the country. The garden is this book is filled with flowers and herbs and makes me think of the countryside. Plus it is a very magical book.
  7. The Goblin Wood by Hilari Bell- While St. Patrick’s Day is usually talked about with leprechauns, goblins are pretty close to the same kind of mythical creature. Goblin myth just originated from Germany. This was a great fantasy.
  8. Théâtre Illuminata trilogy by Lisa Mantchev- This book has fairies in it and since belief in fairies is centered in the British Isles, it felt fitting to use this series.
  9. Changeling Dream by Dani Harper- This is another book involving fairies.
  10. Switched by Amanda Hocking- Again, another fairy book.
  11. Lament and Ballad by Maggie Stiefvater- This book is most closely related to Celtic fairy lore and an amazing series. This duology is so good and I definitely recommend.
  12. Kiss Me, I’m Irish by Roxanne St. Claire, Jill Shalvis, and Maureen Child- This book speaks for itself. Three super sweet love stories with hunky Irish men.
  13. Faeries’ Landing by You Hyun- This is a manga series involving faeries.
  14. Gallaghers Of Ardmore series by Nora Roberts- I haven’t read this series, but it is set in Ireland.
  15. A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare- This is a classic filled with fairies and mischief.
  16. Isle of the Lost by Melissa De La Cruz- I only added this book for the magic and the green cover.
  17. On Thin Icing by Ellie Alexander- Another green cover pick, but this does have treats and drinking (a bartender is murdered).
  18. Matched by Ally Condie- This was purely just a green cover pick.
  19. The Kiss of Deception by Mary E Pearson- This was another green cover and magic pick.
  20. Leprechaun in Late Winter by Mary Pope Osborne- I used to love the Magic Treehouse series when I was younger. I wanted to include a few books for a younger audience, so I had to add this one. I can’t remember this one personally, but this series was amazing so I’m sure this book is too.
